Add a Commentthis movie was eye candy for the lady and that it. I have never read a Thor comic but this was pathetic excuse to make a lot of money off people who love Marvel Comics.
Lots of special effects, especially Asgard. Predictable plot. A slight disappointment given Branagh and the other high-powered talent, but an amusing enough evening if you don't have high expectations.
Pretty standard and somewhat schlocky, which is weird coming from Shakespeare-loving director Kenneth Brannagh. Definitely a timewaster. An okay entry for those unfamiliar with Thor, but kind of bland otherwise, especially in comparison to greater gems, like IRON MAN.
Saw it at the show and still liked it. Some amusing parts.
Within the genre it inhabits, i thought this was an excellent movie. I was interested in it in the first place for its director, Kenneth Branagh, who seemed an odd choice to helm a film like this. But he did a great job, as did his Wallander co-star Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Sir A.H. as Odin. Chris Hemsworth as the titular character was good value, and the earthlings in it didn't matter much.
I do believe I fell asleep. Or, I watched it and it was not that memorable.
It's a mid-teen to mid-20's testosterone driven "Testicle Festival"...don't even bother...there is way too much out there that is better!!
Special effects were very good, but the acting seemed wooden to me. Not much in the script didnt help. I laughed a couple of times. Overall you could take it or leave it.
This was probably the best superhero movie of 2011. Captain America is a close second, Green Lantern a distant third. Green Hornet... not even an honorable mention.
ok and she can wait
