Featuring such familiar names as Snow White, Prince Charming and Bigby (formerly Big Bad) Wolf, this is hard-edged fantasy in the grand tradition of "The Sandman". The war has begun, as the Fables trapped in our world muster their forces and mount an aerial - and land - assault on the Adversary's armies and gateways. Great triumph and terrible tragedy unfolds as the battle for the Homeworlds rages! Volume eleven of the award-winning fantasy series by Bill Willingham and regular artists Mark Buckingham and Steve Leialoha changes everything!

Add a CommentThis and walking dead are the only two series that I can think of that even 16 volumes over a 100 issues later it doesn't feel like it ever needs to end. Volume 16 super team is a bit lighthearted and then it slams you with a woah moment. If you're new to comics and are looking for book to read you can't go wrong with Fables.
An exciting final confrontation between Fabletown and the forces of the Adversary. It had all the necessary action, strategy, and sacrifices of a grand war that has been building up for many, many volumes.
An exciting and engaging end to the first story arc of this imaginative series. The writing and art of Fables is among the best in the comic world right now, expecially James Jean's fantastic cover art.
