An old-fashioned, sweet Irish story, set in the 1950s.

A beautiful small novel, that is a real gem. It is about a secret summer romance in a small Irish village and the people that are involved and changed as a result. I highly, highly recommend.

It's amazing how much of the human condition is revealed with so few words. Booker Prize Longlist 2009
