Now a homicide Lieutenant, Eve is one of the most distinguished officers in the city - and then she learns that McQueen has escaped from jail. Bent on revenge against Eve and with a need to punish more 'bad girls' McQueen heads to Dallas, Texas - the place where Eve was found as a child, the place where she killed her own abusive monster when she was only eight years old. With Eve and Roarke in pursuit of McQueen, everything is on the line and secrets from Eve's past are about to be shockingly revealed.

Add a CommentDEATH IN DALLAS should be the title. A murderer from Eve's past escapes prison and decides to take Eve on. He is assisted by an older woman whom Eve finds vaguely familiar. The trail takes them to Dallas. REVIEW: Excellent DEATH IN book. I feared it would be all psychological but it was a fulfilling DEATH IN title. A bit unrealistic in the way Eve takes charge although from out of state and in the presence of feds. Not about Dallas' father this time. Excellent read.
I've actually been waiting for this confrontation. Lets see where they go from here
Excellent read, disturbing in some parts however very well writen. JD Robbs best yet, in my opinion.
I love this book, but I do miss the usual characters. Almost got hit in the stomach with a surprise character. I absolutely love this series and still trying to read all the ones I have missed. I am so glad I found this series and will continue to read it.
Fabulous book. Read so long I can't see straight. Finally finished. It is one that once you start reading you can't put it down. Enjoy!,,,,
excellent read. One of the best novels written by J.D. Robb. Some of the usual characters are almost missing but the story line is so good it didn't matter.
A cut above the previous "In Death" novels by J.D. Robb. A roller coaster page turner. Although I did miss the presence of She-body at Eve's side.
Such an awesome read. I laughed and I cried. Forget Roarke, I'm in love with Commander Whitney.
Another good read by J.D. Robb. She has made Eve a strong and likable character with many past demons to overcome.
A disturbingly haunting new chapter of the IN DEATH series without “In Death” in the actual book title. If you are a fan of Lt. Eve Dallas and have read most of the In Death series of books, then this book will surely be a gripping crescendo of Eve’s story. It is almost fitting that the book does not carry the “In Death” title, as it is so out of the ordinary NYPDS storyline. A must read for J.D. Robb fans.
