Nau mai ki Pūtoi – welcome to our new whānau (family) orientated learning programme
Pūtoi is a whānau (family) orientated learning programme. Offered on the last Sunday of every month, Pūtoi provides a safe learning environment for all the whānau (family members) to come together and learn about various kaupapa Māori (Māori subjects).
Ranging from local traditions, to using natural resources, sessions have something for everyone and include, stories, games and craft. Open to the whole family from grandparents to young children (5 to 50+ years) Pūtoi is designed to be a family learning opportunity. Places are limited so bookings are essential.
This session will focus on:
Ka Haro te Kāhu
Selected places of local Māori significance in Christchurch
Like the Kāhu soaring over the Christchurch we will 'virtually' visit places of local Māori significance using the online Kāi Tahu cultural mapping resource – Ka Huru Manu.
Nau mai, piki mai ki Pūtoi!
Location: Ngā Pounamu Māori Collection area, Waruwarutū, Tuakiri | Identity, Level 2
