Compiled over ten years, Kā Huru Manu (The Ngāi Tahu Cultural Mapping Project) is dedicated to recording and mapping the traditional Māori place names and associated histories in the Ngāi Tahu rohe (tribal area).
We will be hosting a series of seminars throughout the exhibition. In this first seminar Tā Tipene O'Regan and the Ngāi Tahu Archive Team will be giving a public presentation on this amazing project and the history behind each map that is on display. Entry is free.
