Celebrate New Zealand Music Month with Te Hāpua: Halswell Centre!
Come along listen and support the following cultural, musical performances while they perform their music for library visitors and music lovers alike.
- Sitar & Tabla performance by Louis Singh & Liam Oliver
- Simurgh Music School: a music school that teaches traditional instruments from Persia & surrounding regions
- Barbad Ensemble: a traditional/modern Persian music group
- Canterbury Zurkhaneh: an ancient form of martial arts, who train to the sound of the morshed who sets the pace with a zarb (large drum).
