In a relaxed talanoa-style sharing of stories we’ll hear from Titaua Peu, about her work, and how it explores Polynesian society, the lasting effects of colonisation, and the vital role of women.

Titaua Peu is the writer-in-residence at the Randell Cottage from January 2025 until late May.
Her latest work Pina is translated into English and published by Restless Books.
It delves into family violence, postcolonial tensions, poverty, and addiction. Narrated through the eyes of ten-year-old Pina, it offers a profound exploration of the life of each family member and the complexities of navigating uncertain times.
