List - Best of 2018

Best use of The Rock's "smouldering intensity": Dwayne Johnson hilariously plays against type as a nerd trapped in a buffed up, indestructible avatar in the video game version of Jumanji.

Kim's pick: Surprised myself by how much I enjoyed this funny and clever reboot of the original Robin Williams film (itself based on a book). Rhys Darby's cameo, Jack Black and The Rock are hilarious in this modernised update that still honours the original.

Great remake/sequel! Didn’t expect this to be very good and was amazingly surprised at how well it worked. Really engaging and funny cast and the plot and filming was very good.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is a Fantasy/Action movie directed by Jake Kasden. The movie is about four teenagers who have discovered an old game console that sucked them into the game. They must then figure out how to beat the game in order to escape it. The group goes on a dangerous adventure together. The movie is available on Blu-ray and DVD. In a rating from 1 to 5, this movie is 4 out of 5. This movie also has lots of good ratings online.

Some characters in the movie are Alex Wolff as Spencer, Morgan Turner as Martha, Ser’Darius Blain as Anthony Johnson, and Madison Iseman as Bethany. The characters in the game are Dwayne Johnson as Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse, Kevin Hart as Moose Finbar and Jack Black as Professor Shelly Oberon. But it's not just these characters that make the movie enjoyable. When watch you will meet many more characters that make the movie great. You will laugh out loud.

If you watch this movie then you will most likely enjoy it. If you like movies that have excitement and thrills through the whole movie then I recommend this movie to you. When I watch this movie I had definitely enjoyed watching it. If I was asked to watch this movie again then I wouldn't say no. If you get the chance to watch this movie then you should definitely take that chance and watch this movie.

In conclusion, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle comes with excitement, thrills and laughs that will make you enjoy this movie. It has a great cast, great scenes, a great script, and great special effects that will make you really glad that you watch the movie in the first place.

This movie was fantastic, from the theatrics to the acting… everything about it was perfect. This movie is about 4 very different kids in high school; Jock, Nerd, Popular Girl, and Weird Dude. They all find themselves in them same situation and are thrown into a weird video game. In the movie they learn to love themselves and each other and later become very close friends. It is hands down the funniest movie I have ever watched. This movie basically teaches us that all though people maybe be from “different worlds” that anybody can be friends no matter what. The movie is just the right balance of comedy, romance, scary and drama. It may be on the cliché side, but I would totally recommend this movie to anyone that’s looking for a good laugh at this moment. I would recommend this book on the higher age rage (14 and up) because there are some inappropriate words but apart from that, watch it you won’t regret it. 5/5 stars

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is one of the best humorous movies that I have ever watched; the combination of the storyline, visuals, and characters are extremely well-put, and adds to the adventure and humour of the movie. My favourite characters would have to be Franklin Finbar and Shelly Oberon, played by Kevin Hart and Jack Black, as the combination of their humorous characters have the audience laughing within seconds. In addition to the humour, the movie was also extremely well-directed and well-casted, as I cannot imagine any other actors playing these characters. After having watched the movie nearly one hundred times, there is still nothing that I dislike, and it is by far one of my top favourite movies. If you have not watched it yet, I suggest you watch this movie with your family and friends ASAP! 5/5 stars

Unexpectedly delightful. Puts in the appropriate homages to the original film while working as a standalone feature. Highly recommend it.

Jumanji is a very entertaining action-comedy. With a skilled cast, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillian, it's impossible not to like it at all. The special effects were quite well done. This movie touches on bullying, friendship, and team work. I would recommend it for 11 year olds and up, but there is a reason why it's a PG-13. The cuss words are one part and the make out between two of the characters is deep but nothing 10 year old's haven't seen. A great movie to watch with friends and family.

Many quotes in IMDb already including my favorites when too-pretty Bethany needed help to pee first time as Professor Shelly Oberon. Below are the few more serious quotes on choosing one’s life that are not in IMDb:

We don't have a lot of time in this life, and I personally don't wanna waste it on being, like, a gym teacher.
===
You're all here for a reason. You know what it is. But this is what you should be thinking about: Who you are... in this moment in time, and who you want to be. You get one life. You decide how you're gonna spend it.
===
It's a lot easier to be brave when you have lives to spare. It's a lot harder... when you only have one life.
-We-we always only have one life, man. Okay? That's... That's all we get. That's how it works.
The question is, is how are you gonna live it? Which guy are you gonna decide to be?… Did I just quote our principal?
