Peter Parker is finally happy: he is doing well at the school, girlfriend MJ Watson loves him, and the whole city loves Spider-Man, finally bestowing upon him the praise he so rightly deserves. But peace may not be possible for a superhero. Harry Osborn has taken up his late father's mantle--becoming The New Goblin, bent on revenge. Uncle Ben's real killer, Flint Marko, has been transformed into the Sandman. An alien symbiote has attached itself to the Spider suit, turning it black, enhancing its powers, and warping Peter's personality. When Peter finally overcomes the contaminated suit, it infects rival Bugle photographer Eddie Brock, who becomes villain Venom. In this battle, Peter must conquer his personal darkness as well as Spider-Mans foes, free the compassionate hero within, and trade teenage self-absorption for adulthood.

No one really liked this one, but I thought it was pretty good. Although Pete got a little bit wild when he had the black suit, it was still an enjoyable movie. I hope they do a good job on the fourth one.
I'll give Spider-Man 3 a good 9/10.

I'm just going to keep my first two Spiderman movies and pretend like this one never happened (I did the same with the second Bridget Jones & the second Pirates of the Carribean - never bothered seeing the third). Anyway, a perfect example of just trying to do too much in one movie. There were already lots of issues to deal with from the second Spiderman. Why did they have to go overboard? Silly plot points that contradict established storylines and painful-to-watch scenes of Peter being a creepy doofus. They should not have tried squeezing in so many villians, and conveniently "altering" one for most of the movie. Stupid. Some decent moments that would have been much more effective had the overall story been better. And poor James Cromwell with nothing to do!

This is the worst Spider-man movie out of the three. There are too many characters in the movie.
