I really enjoyed this young adult novel. At times I felt it was a little far-fetched but as the story developed, it became enjoyable. Lauren knows she was adopted but the time has come for her to learn about her biological parents. What starts of as a quest to find her identity becomes and life and death struggle.

I'll admit that the plot is a little over the top "fantasy" wise (as in dream-ish, not fantasy fiction) but the book was worth the read. A little mystery, a little suspense, and a little romance. Great book if you're looking for a book-report novel or just a read-in-one-evening book.
