This is the second novel I have read by Sam Hayes. I did finish reading the book, but it was very difficult material to read. The author dealt with childhood sexual and physical abuse, through the memories and viewpoint of a young child. The novel was very dark and not for the faint of heart. I would not recommend the novel to anyone who has been touched by abuse in some way in their past.
