Grace, 17, loves the peace and tranquility of the woods behind her home. It is here during the cold winter months that she gets to see her wolf, the one with the yellow eyes. Grace is sure that he saved her from an attack by other wolves when she was nine. Over the ensuing years he has returned each season, watching her with those haunting eyes as if longing for something to happen. When a teen is killed by wolves, a hunting party decides to retaliate. Grace races through the woods and discovers a wounded boy shivering on her back porch. One look at his yellow eyes and she knows that this is her wolf in human form. Fate has finally brought Sam and Grace together, and as their love grows and intensifies, so does the reality of what awaits them. It is only a matter of time before the winter cold changes him back into a wolf, and this time he might stay that way forever.

I loved it!!! It was a great read and it really made me feel apart of the pack. I haven't read of Siefvater's other books so I don't know how they compare but would defiantly recommended it. :)

I'm surprised how little I liked this book given how much I love some of Stiefvater's other work, like The Scorpio Races and The Raven Boys. This just did not do it for me. Grace has this obsession with wolves that is frankly creepy. Sam's obsession with Grace is pretty creepy, too, given that he's been watching her since she was about nine or so. I thought maybe Steifvater wanted to lampshade the creepiness of other paranormal romance titles - but no, she seems to be playing it straight. Ugh.

Didn't really enjoy this book found it a bit too cliche but liked the romance aspect of it.

i hesitated on giving it above 3 stars. I thought it was good, but not amazing. I liked the consept and over all it was a good read. I think that the author has a good taste for fantasy reads(having read her other books) but i think being the young author she is, she could do a little better. I'm trying to make it sound good because it is, but its just not great.
