A good adaptation of Robert Harris's book. The initial slow pace speeds up building tension. Some of the characters' motives are not clear. Good entertainment.

This wonderful film is a work of a man who knows how to direct a thriller with stylish direction, a tense screenplay, and a strong cast with great performances, amazing backgrounds and themes. Brosnan plays the character of Adam Lang, who has echoes of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and calls for him to face war crimes trials. Don't miss it.

Excellent psychological thriller combined with political corruption and international intrigue. The movie is as good as the book.

Pierce Brosnan is one of my top three favorite all-time actors and I also like Ewan McGregor very much so the two in a movie together has great appeal. I enjoyed this film again (second time watching). Lots of suspense, twists and surprises with great location scenery. Ewan's bit of humor in his role's dialogue (like in "The Island") adds dimension to his character in a serious situation.

The main body of the movie is OK.

The ending is unclear. Leaves a viewer frustrated.

Gorgeous scenes of windswept dunes and restless seas belie the film’s escalating tension and a deeper cynicism. In the PM’s household McGregor’s character comes to resemble a sacrificial lamb among slavering wolves with Lang’s fastidious personal secretary and fiercely opinionated wife squaring off while Lang himself wavers between placid statesman and enraged egotist. Of course all the requisite twists are neatly in place leading up to a sombre finale which, although visually striking, lacks sufficient logic to convince an entire audience. Good performances though.

Typical Suspense story, not sure what the ending means but still a good watch. Had a hard time keeping track of who was who to whom and what they were important for.

great suspense movie in the Hitchcock tradition with subtle humor and growing tension until the denouement
