This well-crafted NZ doco is very brave, tender and a joy to watch for anyone, particularly anyone who has recieved disapproval from their family about a close relationship.

This could have gone terribly wrong, but Roseanne manages the autobiographical story of cross-cultural romance with intelligence, humour and a vulnerability that makes the viewer search inside their own soul and reflect on the issues.

Make sure you go to special features and watch the Epilogue if you engaged with the film.
