The better book on the subject of New Orleans musicians in post Katrina times is New Atlantis by John Swenson. Sometimes an author is too passionate and close to it's subject. And it's the editor's and/or publishers job to steer the writer in a fluid direction for the sake of reader's and storyline. They failed with this book. Why is Glen Andrew's on the cover without his signature red trombone yet he nor his famous musician family has a chapter? The author rambles about certain people dying shortly after Katrina yet they were critically ill prior to the storm which only hastened their deaths by possibly a few weeks. Keith Spera: follow your heart and write biographies or compilations about the musicians, don't let the damn publishers tell you there is still a market for Katrina stories.
