Actually, this was recording during the time Barrett was falling off the edge and when they brought Gilmour in. Barrett wrote one of the songs "Jugband Blues" iirc and co-wrote/performed on a few more tracks. That said, it certainly was a transition period for the band as they slowly lost a major force in their early song-writing.

This is Pink Floyds 2nd album. They are without their leader and main song writer Syd Barrett. It shows, although they were beginning to slowly find their direction as a band with longer song material. I like Wrights songs here.
