The mystery surrounding the two families was very well written. Information wasn't withheld for too long and it wasn't all revealed too quickly.

A good book! It was indeed hard to put down. It's not like I have a lot of time on my hands, but I think I did finish reading it in 3 days. A romance without all the touchy-feely, the book also had a bit of mystery about it and some wit. When I can afford to spend all my free time reading, I'll check out another of Klassen's books.

I couldn't put this book down. The 400+ pages melted away in 2 days. Yes it does have a predictable ending which in a romance novel is good. How many of us really liked how Gone With The Wind ended?

very cute, somewhat predictable ending (in a good way), but makes for a relaxing read that keeps you wondering how the inevitavle end will come about.

I whole heatedly love this book. I could not put it down and was practically glued to it. I love this book! I wish it went on longer but don't we all wish that some story went on longer.

A side door opened. Olivia froze beside the tree. Footsteps sounded on the flagstones of the veranda, followed by another set.
"Edward, wait."
"This is not something I wish to discuss before the assembled company, nor the servants."
"Must we discuss it at all?"
...
The taller man sputtered, incredulous. "Am I to simply forget what I read?"
...
But the young man stopped suddenly, hand on the open door. He stood, staring blindly in her direction. Had he seen her? Heard her?
...
She cried out as a foul sack descended over her head and wiry arms grasped her by the shoulders and hauled her away.

“At the door he turned and looked back. She stood, facing away from him, the sunlight from the window enshrouding her in an unmerited halo of gold. Perhaps, he thought, that was how God saw all His children. Selfish and fallen, yes. But in the forgiving light of His Son, each wore an unmerited halo.”

“Come to think of it, she did not speak a word. Yet I could have sworn she had the most beautiful voice.” --Edward Bradley
