This story is about Maori in Japan overcoming adversity and differences, valuing identity, perseverance and following their dream. Meet Dixon McIver who manages two of the multi-million dollar K1 fight circuit's best fighters and Christy Strother who woos a national audience of fans with her karaoke recitals of the Carpenters and The Beatles. Glen Osborne plays corporation rugby for Ricoh with down to earth values of whanau and farming and finally Coral Jimba from Tolega Bay, who met her fisherman husband in a Christchurch night club, seven months later she was the bride-to-be in a traditional Japanese wedding. For sixteen years Coral has lived in a small fishing village at the top of Hoshu Island a long long way from home.
