It will explore the viewpoints of a victim, a parent, a bully, a school counsellor, government agencies, and not for profit charities. Given the evolving definition, it is unclear how teenagers actually perceive and understand cyber bullying. The aim of this book is to lay bare the motives and actions of cyber bulling to help teenagers, young adults, parents and communities cope with incidents and prevent incidents from occurring. There are three audiences for this proposed book, - Teenagers and young adults involved in or receiving bullying through social media. The purpose is to highlight the issues and the perceived views that many teenagers hold about cyber bullying to help enable victims to seek the right help and understand that it is not socially ok to receive abuse. Case studies of real stories will help the younger readers identify with what is ok and what is not. - Parents and caregivers who are responsible for teenagers and young adults who are either involved in cyber bullying or victims of bullying. The aim is to show clearly the pathways to support and parent through the situation, as well as ideas and strategies to prevent cyber bullying. - Educators/school leaders wishing to hear adolescent voice in order to learn and be aware of the needs they need to meet around cyber bullying. In the hope that this knowledge will inform their practice.
