This movie is not good for people who want to go flying on an aeroplane! it scares me when there is a plane crash scene in this movie!

This movie was actually pretty good. "They saw our hope as a weakness. They were wrong." Interesting moral. Despite what other reviewers say, I think 'The Fifth Wave' was a suspenseful, fascinating movie.

Not as bad as I'd expected from reviews--pretty interesting, although the ending felt a bit plot hammered!

The 5th Wave starts out with some great special effects. You believe this will be a motion picture somewhere between Peter Jackson's District 9 and the War of the Worlds. It has great potential for a great movie. Five waves of alien invasion facing the human race. Instead of following through with this premise the screen writer turns this movie into a sappy teenage love story and story of how teens can save the world. I am watching this movie and thinking, "This is not plausible, this is terrible and getting more boring by the minute". Of course the girl meets the handsome teen who befriends and saves her. The whole movie is a teen story and has nothing to do with five waves of alien invasion. You never even see an alien, they have all taken human form. Very convenient and cost effective for the producers. The story doesn't even have a climactic ending. It just ends with the teens sitting around a campfire and talking. With the exception of a few interesting special effects at the beginning of the movie this whole mess deteriorates into a typical teens will save the world extravaganza. Save your time, Avoid this movie at all costs.

Predictable teenage heroine saves the world routine.
