Yip, so, I watched this and now I don't like Claude Monet. As a person, I mean. I still respect his art and his genius with light. Terrifically important work. The narration of this documentary is entirely reading his letters. And he just comes across as a whinging freeloader, begging for cash. Worse than that, it appears his wife died of sickness and poverty, while he continued to paint. I yelled "Get a job, you whinging freeloader!" at the screen, but it didn't help. I didn't watch til the end. If you like Monet, I suggest watching it with the sound off. Includes dozens of his paintings. And, like I say, I really respect his work.
