Sedaris is a master at recounting his quirky everyday incidents in such a genuine, but-of-course manner that kept me laughing through most of the book. This collection of essays centers on his time as an American learning to live in France, which appealed to my interests in travel and language. His essays “Me Talk Pretty One Day” and “Jesus Shaves” are by far my favorite, and the audio of Sedaris reading them is golden.
