Polheim – a film by Resonate and Mike Dawson in collaboration with Antarctic Heritage Trust – chronicles the Trust's 2022 Inspiring Explorers Expedition™ to the South Pole.

Polheim, Norwegian for "home at the pole," follows three young explorers on a once-in-a-lifetime journey. Commemorating the 150th anniversary of legendary Norwegian polar explorer Roald Amundsen's birth, they ski across Antarctica to the South Pole, retracing the steps of the first person to reach the bottom of the world.

The film not only captures the physical challenges of "man-hauling" nearly 1000km in extreme conditions but also delves into the explorers' psychological journey. Facing 50 days of isolation in the world's most remote terrain, what will Antarctica reveal about them?

Exploring themes of mortality, ambition, family, and the history of polar exploration, Polheim offers a stunning visual experience shot by Inspiring Explorer Mike Dawson. Directed by Simon Waterhouse and Liddy Whiteman, with support from Expedition Photographic Partner Canon, the film made its world premiere at the 2024 Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival and has been featured at the London and New Zealand Mountain Film Festivals.
