Discover the basics of game mechanics and learn how to become a board game designer.
Join Dean from Meepleopolis on the last Sunday of the month (Sep–Nov) for a hands-on game design adventure at Tūranga Library!
Each month we’ll explore a different game mechanic, discover how it works, play games that use it, reflect on what makes it fun (or not!), and then remix it into something completely new. It’s creative, interactive, and the perfect way for young game-makers to learn the basics of game design.
This programme runs on 3 separate dates:
- 28 September, Dean will focus on Roll & Move – let the dice lead the way!
- 26 October, Dean will focus on Area Control – fight for territory and influence.
- 30 November, Dean will focus on Dexterity – test your skills and steady hands.
Ages: 6-12 years
Cost: $5 per session
