Tuesday Terrors Horror Bookclub

Welcome to the Tuesday Terrors Horror Book Club! This is a monthly Horror genre book group, run by librarians with a love for all things horror. We meet on the last Tuesday of each month, up on Auahatanga (Level 4) at Tūranga, with the intention of discussing and sharing thoughts relating to horror.

Each month we’ll read and discuss books and other formats drawn from a specific subgenre of horror.

September – Monster Horror: Monster Horror explores humanity’s deepest fears through grotesque creatures and relentless terror. These stories pit fragile human lives against unnatural predators, blending suspense, survival, and psychological dread. Expect chilling atmospheres, primal fears, and shocking confrontations that question why monsters have such a hold on us.

Come along with anything you’re keen to discuss, horror wise on the theme. We won’t all read the same thing – read whatever you’re most drawn to that fits into the subgenre.
