Reading to Dogs
Please either phone to make a booking or drop into Shirley Library and make one in person. Places are limited to 4 sessions every Tuesday.
These sessions only run during the school term and will be paused in the school holidays.
Do you have a reluctant reader that just needs to build confidence with a non-judgemental audience? Then reading to dogs is a great option for them. They can come to the library and have a one-on-one session with one of the friendly dogs kindly brought along by Animal Control's community liaison dog team. Your child can have 15 minutes to sit with the dog and read their favourite book or one they've found at the library.
