Kōrero with the Queens 🩰👑♥️
A Q&A Extravaganza.
Join drag queens Little Miss Cinamon, Jack Swallows, and Tony Chestnut for a lively and informative chat about all things drag!
MC Ray Shipley (a self-confessed outsider when it comes to the world of drag) will lead a discussion with these fabulous queens, asking all the questions about this artform that you might be too afraid to ask! There'll be an opportunity for questions from the floor too - so whether you're a budding performer, a life-long lover of drag, or a curious on-looker, this event will surprise, educate and delight. Plus, it wouldn't be a drag event without a glorious dance number at the end!
Date: Friday 13 March, 6-7pm

Little Miss Cinnamon is an Ōtautahi local, seasoned in sequins and glitter who loves performing for the rainbow community. Performing for over 20 years her kaupapa is to sprinkle colour and aroha, to uplift and empower and not take life too seriously. She loves creating safe spaces where everyone can be their authentic selves.

Tony Chestnut is Ōtautahi's favourite divorcee! He's the king of comedy, determined to put a smile on your dial. For this special event, Tony is thrilled to show you his vulnerable side, he will be speaking from the heart about how through drag he found his community.

Jack Swallows is the award-winning Drag and Burlesque powerhouse of Ōtautahi, Christchurch. Campery, Comedy, Glamor or Ghoulish, Jack will serve it! Mother of the Haus of Swallows, Jack is on the path of total domination! (Of the sparkly kind!)

Ray Shipley is an Ōtautahi-based poet, library assistant, writing tutor, and comedian. In 2019, Ray was nominated for the Billy T Award, the biggest award for the rising stars of comedy in Aotearoa.
