Reflection Lounge at Te Matatiki Toi Ora
Browse through a carefully curated selection of architectural books and creative media from Christchurch City Libraries.
Open up a book and leaf through some pages; pick up a pencil and sketch out your thoughts; slip on some headphones and drift through an audiobook or doco — relax, reflect and reimagine your city.
There will be something for all ages.
All materials supplied. These will include:
- A carefully curated selection of architectural books for both children and adults – novels, graphic novels, non-fiction, picture books and more
- iPads to watch documentaries on
- iPads and Apple Pencils to sketch with
- traditional sketch materials to draw and paint with
- a selection of templates to adapt into your own artwork – these are based on the work of Gothic Revival Architect Benjamin Mountfort
Reflection Lounge at Te Matatiki Toi Ora | The Arts Centre runs from 10am-4pm; drop in at any time. Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult. Please note that access to The Common Room involves steps.
