Spinster, Married, Widow: Exhibition

A little-known fact: for fifty years New Zealand women wanting to enrol to vote in the country's general elections were required to state their marital status, rather than fill in their occupation, as men did.
With their fascinating occupations now uncovered, come to Tuakiri and learn about some fabulous women who were so much more than their marital status.

Exhibition runs from 19 September 2026 to 14 February 2027.
