  • My favorite novel of the year and in my opinion, Sally Rooney's best book yet. The dialogue she writes is peerless and the humor she finds in a potentially bleak story is masterful. I just, loved, loved, loved this book.
    Book, 2024London : Faber & Faber Limited, 2024. — FICTION
  • This is a book I think a lot of people slept on this year. What it lacks in a propulsive plotline it makes up for with brilliant dialogue and characters. It's a novel for our times.

    Book, 2024London : Viking, 2024. — FICTION
  • I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak at this one before it has come out. Easily the best short story collection I read this year. It's really dark and totally gross and obsessed with parasites and spaceships and teenage angst.

  • I'm a sucker for a big family saga and this is a great one. It also gets bonus points for wrapping the family drama up inside a fantastic true crime plot with some brilliant humor.
    Book, 2024New York : Random House, [2024] — FICTION
  • This one took some getting into, but once I did I couldn't stop reading. Rachel Kushner hasn't written a bad book yet.
