  True story: I recommended this to a library patron. After reading it she passed it on to her partner. He was furious at her for lending it to him, and has sworn off reading anything else she recommends to him. Why? The ending had him in tears.

  Dune Apocalypse directed by Sergio Leone and scripted by Jodorowsky? East of West had me hooked at vol.1 and just keeps getting better.

  Sadly, female comic creators struggle to gain recognition in the mainstream comic market. Kelly Sue DeConnick and Emma Rios stomp through the gender barrier with this surreal lyrical occult western. Roll on volume 2!

  B.P.R.D. has been one of the best comics on the shelves for over a decade now. Reign of the Black Flame is possibly my favorite volume so far.
