New Zealand and the Korean War

War between North Korea and South Korea was declared on 25 June 1950 and an armistice was signed on 27 July 1953. As a member of the United Nations, New Zealand was one of the countries who sent military support to the war itself, and some men remained in Korea until 1957 as garrison troops to monitor the ceasefire. Have a look through these books to find out more about the 6000 New Zealanders who played a role in the Korean War. A Christchurch City Libraries list.
