This is the first of a three book series about the Maramataka or Māori lunar calendar. A 'trilingual' book that includes English, Māori and New Zealand Sign Language. Introduces young learners to learning the Maramataka. Covers phases of the moon, knowledge of aspects such as sea conditions, and best planting and harvesting times at each month. Includes a glossary of Māori and English words, New Zealand Sign Language translations, and activities to do according to the phases of the moon.
