This draft Management Plan is the third plan for the Halswell Quarry Park. The park was established in 1990 from the site of an early C20th industrial quarry and farm land. A Management Plan was adopted in 1991 under the Local Government Act and reviewed in 1998. These management plans were development focused, converting the land from a working landscape to a recreational landscape.
