What more can I say other than that this book was one of the most thoroughly enjoyed pieces of fiction that I have ever had the luxury of reading. I was there with every breathing second of the characters and felt the joys of each new discovery as they journeyed onwards to the centre of the Earth. A must read and cherished classic! To read this again in advancing years will be something to look forward to experiencing all over again. What more can I say other than that this book was one of the most thoroughly enjoyed pieces of fiction that I have ever had the luxury of reading. A definite comedic classic Indie film from the 90's. Kevin Smith's directorial debut about a couple of twenty-somethings jockeying a convenience/video store in New Jersey. I first saw the film in the late 90's when I was a teenager and became an instant View Askew fan from then on.A definite comedic classic Indie film from the 90's. I remember being extremely excited when seeing that a sequel was to be added to the beloved Clerks. I went to see it in theaters and it was everything that I expected and yet, did not expect. Mostly the near end surprise shock value. Which is not necessarily unheard of by Smith to place in his films. Even the events of the first film left one thinking, "What the...."
If there be any thick slices of cheese for the film in which I personally did not care for was the dance number and the Jackson Five. It just wasn't something I was ready to accept seeing, and I'm still not so warm and fuzzy about the addition of Rosario Dawson. I thought it was entertaining enough, but not as classic as the original, which a typically hard pressed thing to find with movie sequels. Unless it's Indiana Jones.I remember being extremely excited when seeing that a sequel was to be added to the beloved Clerks. This movie was not as bad as critics have panned it being. It is slower in similarity to the familiar comedic pace of Knocked Up, it's sort of predecessor. Paul Rudd is very identifiable and funny with with he furthered for the character, and Leslie Mann provides much of that endearing, yet fearfully aggravating nature to her own. Overall, I think if there be any flaw to this film, is that it did not need to be so long. Otherwise, I think that the laughs are plenty enough and the film was enjoyable. This movie was not as bad as critics have panned it being.
